The head holder for rats and mice, also known as a brain holder, is a component of a stereotaxic instrument. It is suitable for surgeries that do not require brain localization and only need to fix the head and brain of rats and mice. Since there is no interference from redundant operating arms, it provides a large operating space, which makes the surgery more flexible.

Equipped with a U-shaped base the same as that of the stereotaxic instrument, without an attached 3D manipulator, providing ample surgical space. If 3D positioning of the brain is needed later, it can be upgraded by adding a 3D manipulator.
