Product Introduction
The COPAS large-particle flow sorting system from Union Biometrica can achieve high-throughput sorting of large-size particles, such as large cells and nematodes. It can sort large-size samples by fluorescence, size and other conditions, greatly reducing the sorting workload in cell experiments. It does not require manual selection of cells under a microscope, saving time and costs while increasing sorting accuracy and improving experimental efficiency.
Main Features
Large particle flow chamber: can accommodate samples of 10-1500μm, which is much larger than traditional flow cytometers. It can complete high-throughput sorting of large-particle biological samples, including but not limited to silkworm eggs, zebrafish, Arabidopsis, stem cells, pancreatic islets, pollen, etc., solving the problem of large particle sorting in ordinary cell flow cytometers and filling the technical gap in this field.
Low flow rate and low operating pressure: The shear force of the liquid flow is small during the sample sorting process, which avoids the damage of high shear force to biological samples and ensures the biological activity of model organisms and multicellular samples. Even fragile stem cells and silkworm eggs can pass through the system smoothly and maintain good activity.
Patented air pressure sorting technology: uses gentle airflow to sort biological samples in the form of droplets. Compared with traditional flow technology that uses mechanical force or electrostatic charge force for sorting, airflow is more gentle on the sample, avoiding the breakage and inactivation of biological samples caused by mechanical force.
Some technical parameters
Detect multiple parameters, including time of flight (TOF), transmittance (EXT), and fluorescence intensity (FLU), and simultaneously detect up to three colors of fluorescence. Contains a series of high-precision detection elements, photodiodes and photomultiplier tubes, and a series of gratings, which can simultaneously detect green, yellow, and red fluorescent samples. Sample detection processing speed: up to 1000 samples/second; the sample processing speed during sorting is 50 samples/second. The number of samples per well plate can be freely defined, and up to 570 samples can be loaded per well (standard 96-well plate)
Equipped with an automated XY moving stage, it can place microplates or other collectors and automatically load and position the minimum sorting volume: 0.4ul
Patented airflow sorting mechanism reduces the impact of sorting on samples, and the sorting process has no adverse effect on the biological activity of the samples. It has fluorescence compensation function: high-precision automatic compensation device, online or offline compensation, automatic statistics of the proportion of sorted samples to the total samples, and automatic display in real time.
